My Approach

I believe that the journey through life’s challenges is not one to be traveled alone. As a Licensed Professional Counselor in Denver, I partner with individuals as they pursue physical, psychological, social, and spiritual health and wholeness. My style is warm and engaging. I embrace openness and humor, which I use often. My holistic and collaborative approach is designed to support and guide you in navigating the difficulties you are facing and to empower you as you find freedom and claim the fulfilling life you seek.

Within the therapeutic relationship, I maintain a safe and sacred space for you to explore and understand your experience in the world and learn new ways to engage and live life to the fullest. I utilize the empirically validated therapy modalities of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) as well as techniques and strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help clients restructure thought and behavior patterns, engage in self-exploration, acquire coping and self-care skills, and enhance positive self-image. In addition, I have specialized training in integrating Christian spirituality and counseling. Therefore, when appropriate and invited, I incorporate your spiritual background and personal perspective into the therapy process as another lens of viewing life and meaning.

I consider it a privilege to have had the opportunity to work with individuals from a wide span of cultural, socioeconomic, and spiritual backgrounds and am committed to honoring the unique, personal experiences each individual brings to the therapeutic process.

“As we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our fear, our presence actually liberates others. “
